What is a memorial stair climb?
Memorial stair climbs are symbolic events held to honor and remember the first responders killed as a result of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Participants climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center towers to replicate the arduous conditions faced by those heroes on the day of the incident. The stair climb represents a physical and emotional challenge, reminding participants of the sacrifices made by first responders who courageously climbed stairs to save lives during the tragic event. It also serves as a way to pay tribute to the bravery and dedication of those who protect our communities. Stair climbing events are a way for people to show their support, remember the fallen heroes, and raise funds for charitable causes related to first responders. Memorial stair climbs create a lasting legacy to ensure that the sacrifice of 9/11 is never forgotten.
Who can climb?
Registration is open to the public, so anyone can register to climb!!
Climbers of all ages are welcome.

Can I volunteer to help?
Yes! We are actively looking for volunteers for the day of the event. We will need help from set up to tear down, and everything in between. The volunteer coordinator will work with you to find a good role!
